It’s almost spring! Your kids will be filled with excitement and pent up energy from the changing season. Fill up the balmy days ahead with these fun spring activities that can help get you and your little ones outdoors for a few hours of joyous movement.

Fly a Kite

Go fly a kite. Flying a kite is a great way to get the body moving and you can combine this activity with arts and crafts. Buy a crafty kite kit and spend the morning decorating your kite in glitter and paint. Then, take it to the park for a few hours. You and your little ones can take turns running with the breeze to get your kite airborne, then watch your art work soar above the ground.

Play Hide and Seek

Nothing brings back happy childhood memories as well as a fun game of hide and seek. Gather as many neighborhood friends as possible and their parents and head outside for an epic game of hide and seek. Make sure to pick a safe place and set parameters so parents can keep a close eye on your little ones. You can even play one of these hide-and-seek team variations to make sure no one strays off.

Ride a Bike

Riding a bike at top speed with the wind whipping through your hair might be the closest to flying a kid can get. It’s a great way to get active too, so pull your ten-speeds out and go biking around the neighborhood or at the nearest park. If you’re little ones hasn’t learned to ride a bike yet, you can use these tips to help them get the wheels turning.

Go Camping

Spring is the perfect time to take a family camping trip. The weather is not to cold and not to hot and the pesky mosquitoes haven’t fully returned yet. Pack up your family SUV with tents, sleeping bags, and other camping essentials and head to a nearby state park or camping ground. Don’t forget the s’mores and before you go, make sure to stop by the Tipotex Chevrolet service center to make sure your vehicle is ready for the road trip.
