Biking can be a wonderful way to get fresh air with the family. It can be difficult, however, to know where to go biking with the entire family. Thankfully, Brownsville has plenty of bike trails around the city. When you need to know where to go on your next bike ride, check out any of these trails.

Belden Trail

If you want to go on just a short ride, then you should hit the Belden Trail. It is only a mere mile long. You can enter the trail from either the Sunrise Park on Palm Boulevard or Skinner Elementary School, which is on W. 5th Street. There are plenty of lights and benches that are dotted along the trail. If you ride on Belden Trail, then be sure to stop and enjoy the lake Town Resaca that is home to an array of different birds.

Paseo de la Resaca Community Trail

Want to go on a longer ride, then you will want to visit the Paseo de la Resaca Community Trail. This community trail is encircled by several neighborhoods. There are boardwalks and underpasses to traverse. While on the trail, you can stop and take it easy at any of the benches, picnic tables, or pergolas.

Historic Battlefield Trail

Whether you begin at E. Harrison St. or at the Los Fresnos Nature Park, the Historic Battlefield Trail in Brownsville offers riders a fun long 10 mile trail to bike. This trail takes you through the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park. While you certainly can take your bike on the trail, you can walk the path as well. You can get to downtown Brownsville from the trail too. From there, you can go to your favorite downtown restaurants and shops.
